See you later April!!

Ok so March was fine, we will someday get all of the images off the various cameras and update the blog, but I wanted to say good riddance to April. This has been the toughest month by far. First we were greeted with Lily's first stomach virus right away on March 31st. That lasted on and off for about 5 days. She was ok by Easter, but then on the 9th we got a real fun one. Lily ran a fever for 7 days with a visit to the ER for a 105 on Sunday the 11th. Chest x-rays on Tuesday and blood work, RSV screening and urine sample on Friday. The poor girl had a kidney infection. So we got some major antibiotics. They worked wonders until the following Wednesday. Lily started throwing up breakfast or dinner. That lasted for about another 5 days! Seriously! What a pain! And we still can't figure out what that was all about. But she got to visit the doctor again. Scott and I were doubting our parenting and coping skills, we just couldn't believe that she could be sick over and over for a month! To top thing off the poor girl is cutting her top teeth!!

She has been such a trooper through it all. While all these things were going on she still managed to learn clapping, waving bay-bye, pulling up to standing, and crawling along the furniture! I think the other day I said, she may not eat or sleep, but she will walk!

We have one final hurdle to cross in May. Because she had a kidney infection they are going to check the rest of her urinary system with a VCUG. http://www.radiologyinfo.org/en/info.cfm?pg=voidcysto

Hopefully our luck will be changing an everything in there will be a-ok and we can move on to May.

See you later April!

Words!?

We think she is up to about 3-4 words now!!
Her first was, of course, Kitty or ditty as she says. She will stop eating her bottle look up and say ditty as they come into her room. I think Zaddie is her favorite since she is more elusive. Lily likes Frank, but he is always around trying to get pets!

Lily also says:
Baba for bottle, Dada and smacks Scott. We are not sure if she gets it all the time, but it is funny to watch her smack Scott. And bye-bye, she doesn't say it often but she had said it.

Florida

It's been more month since we SUCCESSFULLY made our journey to Florida for Papa's 90th birthday. Lily's first airplane ride, first time meeting Scott's family and we got another tooth too! Here are some of the highlights:

Here we are getting ready for the longer plane ride to Jacksonville
Hanging out with cousin Eric
And cousin Noah
Lily cut her second tooth while we were in florida. She was a little cranky that day, but it didn't stop her from looking super cute in her summer gear! We had to get out and take in the sunshine!

She did really well on the car trip to Orlando. Here she is napping
Lily thought the hotel bed was the coolest thing ever. It was her favorite place to practice rolling over skills.

Lily met her Grand Nana & Papa. We were in Florida to celebrate Papa's 90th birthday!
Lily loved her great grand parents and thought they were so much fun!

One Pearly White

As Scott was making dinner this evening I gave Lily a spatula to gnaw and thought I saw something .... a TOOTH! Her first tooth is here. It is her right bottom one. We thought she was going to be getting them soon and here it is! Ear infection and a tooth just might not be the myth everyone thinks it is, at least not for Lily! Here are a few pictures from today!

6 Month Stats

We had the 6mon check up today! Besides getting over her first ear infection, she is doing really good! I see 2 bumps on her bottom gum, so I think she is getting ready to push those first 2 teeth out. They say it isn't true that ear infections precede the first teeth, but if she gets them in the next week or two, I might lean towards the ear infections and teeth correlation.
Anyway, she is 27.25" long (92%) and 15 lbs, 7oz (35%). She just keeps trucking along on all of the same chart lines and Dr. says she is going great!

6 MONTHS!

Today Lily is 6 months old and as her daycare puts it, she is a little spitfire or firecracker!

Very much her own person & just a ball of energy, but she also is an observer. She will watch you very closely, not saying much and then when she is by herself or just me & Scott she chats up a storm. Lily also is rolling over both ways with out much effort. She reaches for toys, tries really hard to get them by rolling one way or the other, the starts crying in frustration that they are out of reach. She sits up all by herself for 10 min or more, but that usually depends on how excited/tired she is. She loves jumping in her excersaucer & banging away or trying to chew through toys. Lillian is an accomplished eater and has breezed through all of her #1 foods and has been dabbling in #2's. It seems like sweet potatoes, corn & squash mix, bananas and applesauce are her faves, but really will eat anything. She might have mom's sweet tooth.
