The Nursery...

The nursery is finally coming together. We just got the rocking chair this week, it really made the room feel complete, at least for the big stuff. We have to still get the closet in order, but I think the room is really nearly there. Here are some pictures of what we have so far...

My sister hand crocheted the blanket on the rocking chair. She said it was a pain in the rear, but it is one of the softest, snuggliest blankets yet. I Love it!

Frank thinks HE is the baby and we have made this special room just for him! He loves his crib!
Usually we keep the door closed so stuff isn't covered in cat hair before Lily arrives, I think washing things only once is enough, but he snuck in a nap while I was putting stuff away.

2nd Ultrasound

We had our 2nd ultrasound on Wed, April 22nd. The technician was very happy that Lillian was cooperative and we were able to get all of the images of the heart, plus a few more! Lillian was very interested in her fist and was trying to eat it in most of these pictures. She is very active girl so far, I feel her often in there dancing and growing.
Here are some of our favorite ultrasound pics

Munching on her fist. You can see her 3/4 profile really well.
Another 3/4 view. Check out that cute little nose!

Another profile shot
So the technician said that the wispy stuff that the arrow is pointing at is hair! I don't know how this kid has any hair! I was bald for almost a year when I was born, but Scott doesn't remember if he had any. I thought she was going to come out a cue ball with blue eyes! The old wives tale about heartburn might actually be true!
Here are the pictures:

And we just receive the letter from the doctor that everything at the ultrasound was normal and looking good! 12 weeks left!

Tori's Bridal Shower: April 20, 2009

About 2 weeks ago I hosted Tori's bridal shower. We had a lot of fun, but I am so glad it's over! It was a lot of planning and getting ready to have guests can always be stressful. During that same week we got a new buffet & shelf installed in the dinning room and had to dismantle the remaining parts of Scott's bachelor days in preparation of the nursery. We were very busy kids.

Here are some highlights of the shower:
The Crowd

The Bride & us Maids

For every answer she got wrong in the "About the Groom" game she had to put a marshmallow in her mouth. I got the Jet Puffed XL kind! I think she had about 7 in there!

This is a hat that Eric's mom got her as a joke for the honeymoon in Jamaica.
I don't think she will be bringing it along!
